Kampala, Uganda — Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU), a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa, has applauded its Official Coca-Cola Distributors (OCCDs) for their exceptional contribution to the company’s success, marking Customer Service Week with a vibrant Sales Conference dedicated to recognizing distributor excellence and strengthening customer-focused partnerships.
OCCDs account for over 97% of CCBU’s total sales volume, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the availability of Coca-Cola products across Uganda. The conference brought together distributors from all regions to celebrate shared achievements, align on strategic goals for the final quarter of the year, and reinforce the company’s commitment to superior service delivery.
Speaking at the event, CCBU Managing Director, Emmy Hashakimana, emphasized that the company’s customer service culture is built on empowering and engaging its partners.
“Exceptional service begins with our people and partners,” Hashakimana noted. “By listening to our distributors and understanding their experiences, we co-create solutions that drive sustainable growth for both CCBU and our customers. Our success is directly linked to theirs.”
The Sales Conference featured interactive sessions focusing on digital transformation, operational efficiency, and route-to-market excellence, highlighting CCBU’s continued investment in data-driven systems to enhance productivity, product availability, and responsiveness nationwide.
Ellis Muhimbise, CCBU’s Sales Director, encouraged distributors to remain innovative and uphold high standards of service as the company drives towards shared growth objectives.

As part of the celebrations, CCBU recognized top-performing distributors for outstanding achievements in capitalisation, numeric distribution, and volume growth.
Hashakimana added that hosting the event during Customer Service Week was particularly symbolic, as it provided a moment to reflect on the importance of collaboration and appreciation.
“Our distributors are the heartbeat of our business. Celebrating Customer Service Week is about honouring every individual and partner who makes our shared success possible,” he said.
