Kampala, Uganda | Housing Finance Bank (HFB), in partnership with Pearl Marina Estates, hosted a vibrant Family Day and Open House on October 18 at the scenic Pearl Marina development in Garuga. The event reaffirmed both institutions’ shared commitment to fostering community living and making homeownership more accessible to Ugandans.

The colorful gathering brought together families, customers, and aspiring homeowners for a day of leisure and learning. Attendees enjoyed a lively program featuring children’s games, live entertainment, guided tours of the estate, and personalized consultations with Housing Finance Bank’s mortgage specialists.

John Baptist Kaweesi, Head of Mortgages and Consumer Banking at Housing Finance Bank, emphasized that the Bank’s mission extends beyond financing houses.

“Our goal is to enable dreams and build lasting futures,” Kaweesi said. “The HFB Open House reflects that vision it’s about joy, belonging, and the essence of community.”

The Open House gave potential buyers a firsthand experience of the Pearl Marina lifestyle an elegant lakeside estate offering modern, secure, and serene living just 20 minutes from Entebbe. Through this partnership, HFB and Pearl Marina Estates continue to offer flexible and customized mortgage solutions designed to make homeownership attainable for more Ugandans.

This initiative supports Uganda’s broader effort to reduce its housing deficit, which exceeds two million units and continues to grow with rapid urbanization. By backing well-planned residential projects, Housing Finance Bank is playing a key role in closing this gap and improving living standards nationwide.

The Family Day provided fun-filled experiences for all ages, including pony rides, face painting, arts and crafts for children, as well as estate tours, wellness activities, and financial literacy sessions for adults.

More than a celebration, the event served as a practical learning platform especially for first-time buyers seeking clarity on the homeownership process. Many participants praised the accessible information and expert guidance shared throughout the day.

Whether guests came to explore investment opportunities, start their homeownership journey, or simply enjoy the lakeside atmosphere, the Open House offered something for everyone. As the sun set over Lake Victoria, attendees left inspired, informed, and optimistic about the future of housing in Uganda.
