Microsoft 365 Copilot received several new features recently. It also gained support for six additional languages.

Microsoft 365 Copilot received a wave of new features this month, along with support for six additional languages — bringing the total to 48.

Many of the new capabilities were introduced as part of the Copilot Wave 2 updates, including standout features like Copilot Notebooks. Some of these updates began rolling out during Build 2025, while others that were previously in testing are now generally available or will be released in the coming

Microsoft just began the rollout of support for Albanian, Filipino, Icelandic, Malay, Maltese, and Serbian (Cyrillic) this month. That last language is particularly noteworthy because it adds support for a different script of a language that was already supported.

Microsoft 365 Copilot now supports both Serbian (Latin) and Serbian (Cyrillic).

The new features for Microsoft 365 Copilot range from being able to submit queries directly from the address bar in Microsoft Edge to Copilot chat being able to schedule meetings in Outlook.Learn more about supported languages for Microsoft Copilot here.

What is Microsoft 365 Copilot?

It’s understandable to feel confused by the term “Copilot” — Microsoft uses it in several contexts. From Copilot+ PCs to web-based Copilot experiences and integrated tools within Microsoft apps, the name can refer to different things depending on the setting.

Microsoft 365 Copilot specifically refers to the AI-powered assistant embedded within Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Designed to streamline productivity, it helps users draft documents, analyze data, create presentations, summarize meetings, and manage emails.

This version of Copilot also integrates with Microsoft Graph and Copilot Chat, enabling a more personalized and context-aware experience across Microsoft 365 services.
