Rabat - Commencing on Saturday, December 2, the Moroccan government has officially launched the registration process for the Direct Social Support program. Prospective beneficiaries are encouraged to submit their applications through the online portal www.asd.ma, as per the invitation from the office of the head of the government.
To qualify for the program, individuals must be registered with both the National Population Registry (RNP) and the Unified Social Registry (RSU). This initiative aligns with the directives of King Mohammed, who envisions the full implementation of the Direct Social Support program in 2023.
Following the application processing, registered families can anticipate a response within a maximum period of 30 days, according to the official statement. The disbursement of support funds is scheduled at the end of each month, subject to the fulfillment of conditions specified in Law No. 58.23 governing the Direct Social Support system.
The program is tailored to provide direct assistance to families, with a focus on those in vulnerable situations. Targeted social groups include school-age children, children with disabilities, newborns, and economically fragile families without school-age children, especially those caring for elderly individuals.
Irrespective of family composition, the minimum support is fixed at MAD 500 per month, with the potential to exceed MAD 1,000 monthly. The allocated funds will be contingent on the unique circumstances and composition of each family, particularly considering the number of children.
The government's objective is to initiate the disbursement of the initial aid by the close of December 2023, as part of the broader social support initiative within the country.
