Rabat – Ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025), Morocco has implemented a temporary electronic travel authorization (AEVM) requirement for supporters attending the tournament.
This measure will apply even to citizens of visa-exempt countries, such as Tunisia, and will be effective from September 25, 2025, to January 25, 2026.
The Moroccan Consulate in Tunis confirmed that Tunisian fans wishing to attend the matches, which will be hosted by Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, will need to obtain the AEVM.
Reports indicate that the AEVM will also be required for fans from Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gabon, Niger, Senegal, and Togo. Supporters from these countries will also need the travel authorization to attend AFCON 2025 in Morocco.
To facilitate the process, Moroccan authorities, in collaboration with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), have launched a digital platform and mobile app called “Yalla.”
