MTN Ghana has informed customers of a scheduled system upgrade that will temporarily suspend all Mobile Money (MoMo) services from 12:00 am to 06:00 am on August 17, 2025.

The company explained that the upgrade is essential for improving service quality and apologized for any inconvenience caused.

Charles Asamoah Assah, Chief Technology & Service Delivery Officer of Mobile Money Limited, confirmed in an interview that all MoMo services will be unavailable during the upgrade. He assured customers that normal services would resume promptly after the maintenance.

The disruption will affect all MoMo transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and bill payments.
