Arua, Uganda | MTN Uganda has unveiled a newly branded roundabout in Arua City and officially reopened its upgraded MTN Service Centre, reaffirming the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction and urban development.
The launch, held as part of the ongoing Customer Service Week celebrations, underscores MTN’s dedication to investing in modern infrastructure, strengthening community ties, and enhancing the customer experience.
The roundabout adorned in MTN’s signature yellow stands as a new city landmark and a symbol of partnership between MTN Uganda and Arua City authorities in promoting urban beautification and civic pride.
Speaking at the ceremony, Joseph Bogera, General Manager for Sales and Distribution at MTN Uganda, emphasized the company’s long-standing relationship with Ugandans and its role in driving community progress.
“This roundabout is not just a landmark; it is a symbol of partnership, commitment, and progress,” Bogera said. “For 27 years, MTN has grown alongside our customers, and this initiative is our way of saying thank you to Arua for being part of our journey. As we reopen our modernised service centre, we renew our promise to deliver better service, stronger networks, and unforgettable experiences.”
Arua City officials hailed MTN for its continuous investment and collaboration with local government.
Job Richard Matua, the Assistant Resident City Commissioner, lauded MTN’s contribution to the city’s development, saying,
“The rebranded roundabout not only beautifies our city but also reflects the power of partnerships that inspire growth and community pride. MTN’s presence continues to shape Arua’s transformation.”
As part of the celebrations, MTN treated residents to a free concert at the OPM Grounds, featuring both local and national artists including Cindy, Coco Finger, Chandiru, Clever J, Monopoly Bad Character, and Jim Kennedy. The event, hosted by popular MCs Man Pato and Zig Zagga, also featured exclusive offers such as 10% cashback on beer purchased via USSD and 35% cashback on purchases made using MTN MoMo.
The Arua unveiling follows a similar event in Jinja City last month, marking part of MTN Uganda’s broader initiative to partner with local governments in enhancing public spaces and promoting community engagement.
Through its Ambition 2025 strategy, MTN Uganda remains focused on expanding digital inclusion, improving customer experiences, and driving meaningful connections as it continues to lead digital transformation for Africa’s progress.
