Smirnoff-Halloween

Kampala, Uganda | Smirnoff turned up the heat this Halloween, setting the night ablaze at its “Rave to the Grave” experience held at Somewhere Else in Naguru. The event redefined nightlife with a dazzling mix of creativity, music, and self-expression all powered by the bold spirit of Smirnoff vodka.

From the moment guests stepped through the graveyard-inspired entrance, it was clear this was no ordinary party. The gothic décor, foggy ambience, and dim lighting created an eerie yet enchanting atmosphere. The cloudy Kampala sky added a cinematic touch, wrapping the venue in the perfect Halloween mood without a single drop of rain.

The crowd brought the theme to life from hauntingly beautiful makeup to witchy-chic and dark gothic outfits. Every corner of the venue pulsed with creativity, turning it into a live runway of Halloween-inspired art and fashion.

Speaking on behalf of Uganda Breweries Limited, Zawedde Patricia, Smirnoff’s Digital Manager, said the event embodied the brand’s fearless and playful energy.

“Smirnoff is a trendsetter, and this event reflects that,” she noted. “Through our We Do We campaign, we are creating spaces where consumers can freely express their creativity. Smirnoff is about culturally relevant experiences that celebrate individuality.”

The music lineup kept the energy high throughout the night. Top DJs Rocky, Aweko Brain, R3ign Drops, Hibotep, and NRG’s DJ Faisol blended RnB, Amapiano, and Afrobeat into a non-stop rhythm that kept revelers dancing. Host DJ Salta fueled the crowd’s excitement while DJ Faisol’s seamless transitions ensured the party’s momentum never dipped.

The highlight of the night came from Authentic Voices Africa, whose gothic-inspired performances combined theatre, fashion, and sound to captivate the audience. Their dramatic costumes, face art, and storytelling elevated the Halloween experience into a full-blown performance spectacle.

Adding to the artistry, the Artribe collective offered live body art, tattoos, and themed face painting giving guests a chance to transform their looks in real-time. The result was an unforgettable fusion of music, art, and personal expression.

By the end of the night, Smirnoff had once again proven it’s more than just a drink it’s a movement. A lifestyle that celebrates boldness, individuality, and fun without boundaries.
The “Rave to the Grave” experience wasn’t just a party; it was a celebration of creativity, confidence, and culture the Smirnoff way.
