The Ugandan Embassy in the State of Qatar has announced that the second edition of the Uganda–Qatar Business Forum will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Rotana City Center in Doha.
This year’s forum will be themed “Uganda and Qatar in Partnership for Shared Economic Development.”
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, this year’s forum will bring together senior dignitaries, investors, business leaders, and government officials from Uganda, Qatar, and the broader Gulf region. The aim is to explore new opportunities in trade, investment, and tourism.
The event is organized in partnership with KON W.L.L as the Strategic Partner.
Ahead of the forum, Dr. Stephen Chebrot, Uganda's Ambassador to the State of Qatar, emphasized that the forum underscores Uganda’s growing engagement with Qatar within the framework of economic and commercial diplomacy.
“The Uganda–Qatar Business Forum serves as a vital platform for dialogue, networking, and partnership. Uganda invites Qatari investors to explore the immense potential in agriculture, tourism, minerals, energy, manufacturing, and ICT — all key sectors driving Uganda’s transformation agenda,” said Dr. Chebrot.
The one-day event will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and sectoral presentations by leading Ugandan and Qatari institutions, including the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotion Authority, Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), Qatar Chamber of Commerce, and Qatar Tourism. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in B2B networking sessions, cultural showcases, and sector-specific dialogues designed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and private-sector partnerships between the two nations.
The forum is part of Uganda’s broader efforts to advance its Economic and Commercial Diplomacy Programme, which aims to attract investment, promote exports, and deepen partnerships for shared prosperity with Uganda’s international partners.
