UNICEF Angola has issued a compelling call for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from civil society organizations (CSOs) to partner in a transformative initiative aimed at empowering adolescent girls through comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) programming. This initiative, focused on Luanda Province, seeks to address the pressing challenges faced by adolescent girls, including early pregnancies, limited access to reproductive health services, and persistent gender inequalities. The deadline for submission is October 22, 2025, and interested organizations are encouraged to present innovative, community-driven approaches that align with UNICEF’s strategic vision for adolescent well-being.

The program is designed to foster a supportive environment where adolescent girls can make informed decisions about their health and futures. Selected partners will work closely with UNICEF to implement targeted interventions that promote SRHR education, strengthen life skills, and expand access to youth-friendly health services. Emphasis will be placed on culturally sensitive, rights-based methodologies that engage families, schools, and local leaders in creating safe and inclusive spaces for girls. The initiative also prioritizes sustainability, encouraging applicants to propose scalable models that can be replicated across other regions.

To be considered, organizations must demonstrate a strong track record in adolescent health, gender equality, and community mobilization. Experience in delivering impactful programs in urban and peri-urban settings, particularly within Luanda, will be highly valued. Proposals should highlight the organization’s capacity to reach marginalized populations, address social norms that hinder girls’ empowerment, and integrate monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure accountability and learning.

This call for EOIs reflects UNICEF’s broader commitment to advancing the rights and agency of adolescent girls, recognizing them as key agents of change in their communities. By investing in their health and empowerment, the initiative aims to break cycles of poverty and inequality, contributing to a more just and equitable society. Interested CSOs are invited to seize this opportunity to collaborate with UNICEF in shaping a future where every girl in Angola can thrive, lead, and realize her full potential.
