KAMPALA | Over 1,000 residents of Kasenyi benefited from free medical care during a health outreach organized by dfcu Bank in partnership with Rotary Uganda. The initiative, aimed at promoting preventive health, provided services including general check-ups, blood pressure monitoring, diabetes screening, HIV testing, and health education.

The outreach targeted underserved communities, ensuring that vulnerable populations have access to essential healthcare services. Residents expressed gratitude for the opportunity to receive medical attention without the burden of cost, noting that such initiatives help detect and prevent diseases early.

Officials from dfcu Bank and Rotary Uganda highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare in improving overall community well-being and reducing long-term health costs. They emphasized their commitment to regular health interventions as part of their corporate social responsibility programs.

“This initiative reflects our dedication to supporting the health and well-being of Ugandans,” said a representative from dfcu Bank. “By providing preventive services, we aim to empower communities to take charge of their health.”

The campaign also included health education sessions on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention, encouraging residents to adopt healthier lifestyles. The collaboration between dfcu Bank and Rotary Uganda demonstrates the impact of private and civil society partnerships in addressing public health challenges in local communities.
