Vivo Energy Uganda has launched the “Unleash the Power Within” campaign, designed to enhance the driving experience for Ugandan motorists. The initiative aims to encourage the use of Shell Helix Ultra 0W20 lubricants and Shell V-Power fuel.
Launched at Shell Lugogo, the campaign goes beyond product promotion, focusing on empowering motorists to maximize vehicle performance, reduce maintenance costs, and prolong engine life. Joanita Mukasa Menya, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Uganda, emphasized that the campaign addresses the evolving needs of modern drivers.
“At Vivo Energy, we take pride in helping our customers stay safe, efficient, and confident on the road—whether they’re driving across the city, through the countryside, or managing large fleets that power Uganda’s economy,” she said. Menya also highlighted Vivo Energy's commitment to keeping pace with advancements in automotive technology.
"As vehicles evolve, so too must our engines. That's why we’re launching V-Power and the 0W20 lubricant this year," she added.
Menya also pointed out that Shell Helix Ultra 0W20, made from natural gas using PurePlus technology, offers superior wear protection, advanced engine cleanliness, and improved fuel efficiency. “This campaign is about more than just product performance—it’s about helping motorists unlock their engine’s full potential and enjoy the best driving experience,” she said.
Recognizing the emotional connection many motorists have with their cars, Vivo Energy also addressed this bond. “Some people refer to their cars as their babies—such is the emotional attachment. We’re here to support that journey and make every drive feel brand new,” Menya remarked.
Alinafe Mkavea, Vivo Energy’s Chief Commercial Officer, explained that the campaign celebrates the power within every engine and driver. "We've seen firsthand the power our products unleash—whether in the engine or behind the wheel. That’s what this campaign is all about,” she said. Mkavea emphasized the campaign’s focus on both performance and affordability, assuring customers that using these products will reduce long-term maintenance costs.
To further engage motorists, Vivo Energy is offering exciting incentives. Those who purchase Shell V-Power or service their vehicles with Shell Helix Ultra 0W20 will be entered into weekly draws for premium electronics, branded merchandise, and an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Cape Town. “For every shs100,000 spent on V-Power or service, customers will be entered into the draw. Four lucky couples will be flown to Cape Town, and yes, it’s for two people—bring your significant other!” Menya announced.

In collaboration with CFAO and Victoria Motors Limited, Vivo Energy will also host Shell Auto Clinics across Uganda to educate and train customers and mechanics on proper vehicle maintenance and the importance of using the right lubricants.
